Ashley Sánchez is an experimental theatre artist.
Born and raised on occupied Kumeyaay Land (San Diego, CA).
Their interest is rooted in work which investigates: alt-education, borders, improvisation, ritual, somatics, surveillance and translation.
They remain curious about the relationship between oral history and the way storytelling shapes our reality.
With this in mind, they maintain focus on themes such as our ancestors, our communities and ourselves.
They hope to continue making theatre that lives and breathes outside of traditional institutional spaces and proves accessible to the public.
They graduated from CalArts (BFA Acting) and are currently living on occupied Gabrieleno Land (Los Angeles, CA).
